Ian qualified as an architect in 1997 at the University of Cardiff and went on to spend several years in the Midlands, gaining extensive experience in the commerical, residential, instituitional and educational sectors. 

 

In 2003, Ian joined Riva Architects and has extended his knowledge in all aspects and sectors of the building industry, fine tuned to suit the opportunities and demands particular to Jersey. Focused on high quality design, Ian has fostered a detailed knowledge and a passion for realising holistic, strategic and sustainable solutions. 

 

With an interest in environmentally sensitive building design, Ian has also gained a Masters Degree in Sustainablisity and Adaptation in the Built Environment in 2020, and is establishing a specialism in environmentally sensitive architectural projects.

 

Outside of the office, Ian can be found enjoying the outstanding Jersey scenery, either by bike, on foot or in the water.
